Throughout my career, I’ve seen how difficult it is to find leaders and practitioners who not only understand compliance and financial crime risk — but who know how to get things done. That’s why I founded Compliance Horizon.

With 20 years in financial services — including 15 years leading complex regulatory change and financial crime transformations — I know what credible leadership and subject matter expertise look like, because I’ve built it, relied on it, and delivered alongside it. Now I help organisations find those people.

I’ve personally led major transformation portfolios at global banks and supported new market entrants in designing and delivering operating models that meet evolving regulatory expectations. I’ve also worked with non-bank financial institutions, including asset managers — interpreting regulation and developing proportionate control enhancements that improve performance without unnecessary friction.

Whether it’s restructuring control frameworks, delivering group-wide change, or navigating complex regulatory settlements, I’ve done the work — not from the sidelines, but in the thick of it.

I began my career at Deloitte, spending a decade helping institutions rethink how they operate. I then joined HSBC’s Global Compliance team, where I played a key role in overhauling its financial crime control environment across 65 markets.

Since 2020, I’ve leveraged my network to help financial institutions navigate evolving regulatory demands — advising senior leaders, shaping delivery teams, and supporting efforts to improve the effectiveness of their controls.
